2026 Spotlight Paper Award for Dr. Lauren Azevedo

Congratulations to Dr. Lauren Azevedo!

The editorial team at the Journal of Public Affairs Education (JPAE) selected Dr. Azevedo’s article, “Are the Students Alright? Faculty Adoption of Trauma-Informed Pedagogy in Public Affairs Education,” for the 2026 JPAE Spotlight Paper Award.

JPAE and the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) will feature the article on their communications platforms throughout the coming year and make it freely available to readers for one month. The selected article will also be a spotlighted acknowledgment at the NASPAA Awards Luncheon on October 1, 2026, at 1 PM Pacific Time.

Dr. Azevedo’s co-authors are Dr. Pamela S. Medina of California State University, San Bernardino, and Dr. Lindsey L. Evans of Virginia Commonwealth University.
