Popular Internship Programs

North Carolina State Government Summer Intern Program:

The summer internship program places students in executive and judicial agencies; it is open to students who have completed three years of college work at the time that the internship is scheduled to begin. The application deadline is February 1. Further information is available through the University Career Center.

Legislative Internship Program in the North Carolina General Assembly:

The Legislative Internship Program has been jointly conducted by the General Assembly and the Department of Politics at North Carolina State University during the spring semester in each legislative session year since 1965. The program is open to students who have completed their sophomore year. Interns are expected to combine work as legislative assistants with an academic program that is offered by NCSU (credit earned may be transferred to UNC Charlotte). Usually the deadline for application to this program is December 1. Further information is available through the University Career Center.

Summer Internship Program in Community Education and Service:

The Internship Program in Community Education and Service is based in the Cooperative Education Office. It is a service-learning experience in which the student earns academic credit and sometimes a stipend for a ten to twelve week (approximately 40 hours a week) summer internship and seminar.
