The UNC Charlotte Model UN team traveled to Atlanta Georgia to participate in the Southern Regional Model UN conference. Thirty-five students attended. Jaclyn Piatak’s co-authored article, “Informal Accountability in Children’s Service Networks: The Role of Frontline Workers,” was selected by the journal Awards Committee to win the Mary Parker Follett Award for best theory-informed research article in 2019, Volume 43, of Human Service Organizations: Management, Leadership & Governance.

Beth Whitaker co-authored with Roos van der Haer and Christopher Faulkner and entitled “Rebel Funding and Child Soldiers: Exploring the Relationship between Natural Resources and Forcible Recruitment” has been accepted for publication in the European Journal of International Relations.
